(中央社訊息服務20251104 16:03:01)Foodex Japan 2025 concluded on Mar. 14, with Yunlin County’s specialty products booth in the Taiwan Select area drawing bustling crowds throughout the event. Led by Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan (張麗善), the delegation, which included the Yunlin County Farmers Association, Guarantee Liability Shin Hu Cooperation Farm, Food & Health Co., Ltd., Kewei Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Huwei Cooperative), Ruey Chyi Foods Ltd., Food Lee Co., Ltd., Yuan Jin Chuang Enterprise Co., Ltd., Sheng Hua Food Co., Ltd., and Zhou Xing Yun Foods Co., Ltd., drew strong interest from international buyers and secured nearly NT$100 million in orders, showcasing remarkable achievements.
County Magistrate Chang stated that the Yunlin County Government launched the local brand Yunlin Goods to promote high-quality agricultural products produced and processed within Yunlin County. All products under the brand must comply with the "Three Labels and One QR Code" certification system, which ensures traceability, safety, and consistent quality through a rigorous selection and screening process. To promote Yunlin County's high-quality agricultural products overseas, the Yunlin County government not only participates in Foodex Japan, but also considers joining other major international food exhibitions. Moving forward, the county government plans to work closely with overseas distributors and trading partners to expand its presence in the global market and actively promote Yunlin County’s products through various international channels.
Magistrate Chang noted that the exhibitors gained significant benefits from participating in the event. Buyers from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, mainland China, the United States, and Canada expressed strong interest in Yunlin’s products, with several Taiwanese companies even traveling to Japan to explore potential business partnerships. Among the prospective clients, Japanese buyers accounted for the majority. Yunlin Goods received numerous inquiries and positive feedback from international buyers. Yunlin-based companies will continue discussions with overseas partners, confident that these collaborations will drive even stronger export growth.
The Yunlin County Government's Department of Agriculture stated that Yunlin County serves as one of Taiwan’s major production for agricultural, fishery, and livestock products. Not only does it meet domestic demand, but it has also long been connected to international markets for export. For example, romaine and iceberg lettuce grown in Yunlin have been exported to Japan and other countries for many years. Looking ahead, the county aims to expand their product offerings to more countries, allowing Yunlin's local agricultural products to be seen by the world.
