HL County Gov. Wins Bronze at 2025 Taipei Golden Eagle Micro Movie Festival for Sustainability Video

(中央社訊息服務20250714 11:13:30)The Hualien County Government is pleased to announce that its promotional video “Livable Hualien: A Pledge to Preserve the Beauty of Our Land– Vol. 2” has won the Bronze Award in the Sustainability Microfilm Category at the 9th Annual 2025 Taipei Golden Micro Movie Festival, organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). Released in late 2024, the video was produced alongside the second volume of Livable Hualien: A Pledge to Preserve the Beauty of Our Land, a publication underscoring the county’s strong commitment to environmental stewardship. This year’s festival drew 173 submissions from 150 organizations across government, academia, research, and the private sector. Entries addressed a wide range of sustainability topics, including social inclusion, public health, environmental education, and the circular economy. The judging process was conducted in two phases: a preliminary review by 56 volunteers with backgrounds in film and sustainability, and a final evaluation by a panel of 12 experts—comprising filmmakers, corporate sustainability leaders, university scholars, and media professionals. From these, 115 outstanding works were selected, with Hualien County honored among them for its impactful storytelling and vision.

Hualien County Government expressed its sincere appreciation to TAISE and the judging panel for the recognition. The Pledge to the Mountains and the Ocean series reflects not only the county’s profound emotional bond with its land and sea, but also its broader responsibility to future generations.
