2025 HL Summer Love Carnival Adds Bonus Night – Show Lo Headlines Grand Finale on 7/28
(中央社訊息服務20250708 11:43:49)The most anticipated summer music festival in Taiwan—the 2025 Hualien Summer Love Carnival—will take place from July 23 to 28 at Dongdamen Plaza in Hualien City. The Hualien County Government made a surprise announcement today (July 2): an extra bonus night has been added on July 28, featuring Show Lo, Asia’s Dance King and a Hualien native, in the grand finale performance.
Now upgraded to a “5+1” six-night celebration with five themed nights and one bonus night, this year’s Carnival promises a spectacular lineup including Mandopop, band showcases, rap, indigenous music, and classic folk songs, catering to music lovers of all ages and backgrounds.
This year’s star-studded cast includes:
Show Lo (final night headliner)
TRASH (fresh off their Golden Melody Awards win)
Matzka, Accusefive, Misi Ke, Pang Yueh-Yun, Shih Hsiao-Jung, Nine One One, GBOYSWAG, Weibird, GBO (Lu Ssu-Wei), Ann Bai, and more—28 top acts in total!
Mayor Hsu Chen-Wei expressed her gratitude to Show Lo for performing during his busy world tour schedule, returning to give back to his hometown on the Summer Love stage. Show Lo said he was honored to perform again in Hualien, sharing: “This stage feels warmer and more meaningful. Through music, I hope to give love and energy back to Hualien.” He encouraged everyone to travel to Hualien, enjoy its scenic beauty, local snacks, and its peaceful, healing pace of life.
On the July 28 bonus night, “Watermelon Ambassadors” GBO (Lu Ssu-Wei) and Ann Bai—both deeply connected with Hualien—will also perform. GBO has long been a Summer Love regular, while Ann Bai said this summer marks her most active involvement in Hualien, from reality shows to her ambassador role. She is especially excited to take the Summer Love stage after missing the “2025 Just Love It!” charity concert earlier this year due to illness.
The six-night festival is free and open to the public, expected to drive a wave of travel demand with fans scrambling for train tickets and accommodations. The event will be live-streamed via MTV Taiwan, SET News YouTube, Vidol YouTube, and Mayor Hsu Chen-Wei’s Facebook page, so fans across Taiwan can join the celebration.
