From Organic Roots to European Markets: HL Gov Expands Global Presence at IFE 2026 in the UK
(中央社訊息服務20260330 17:00:10)In a strategic move to penetrate European distribution channels and bolster the international branding of its organic sector, the Hualien County Government is participating in the 2026 International Food & Drink Event (IFE) in the United Kingdom. As one of Europe’s premier professional food trade platforms, IFE provides Hualien with a vital stage to showcase its signature organic produce and processed goods, bringing the pure terroir nurtured by the Central Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean to global buyers.
Hualien County Mayor Hsu Chen-Wei noted that the region’s long-standing commitment to organic agriculture has solidified its status as a leading organic production hub in Taiwan. Building on the momentum of the 2025 Natural & Organic Products Expo in the UK, where the county delegation showcased organic rice, grains, and specialty processed foods while engaging with European importers and retailers, Hualien returns to the UK this year. This continued participation aims to deepen the dialogue with the European market and steadily accumulate international marketing momentum.
As a hallmark event for the UK food industry, IFE draws together global food brands, importers, retailers, and foodservice professionals, serving as a critical gateway to Europe. The Hualien County Government emphasized that this exhibition goes beyond simple product promotion; it is about establishing stable international connections through a professional platform to help local agri-enterprises secure overseas partnerships and open broader market opportunities for Hualien’s agricultural sector.
Under this established promotional framework, the Hualien Pavilion has integrated high-quality local brands to present a diverse lineup. Featured products include Yin-Chuan organic rice and organic rice noodles, Hualien buckwheat products, Hualien Hao-Dou Cooperative’s rich soy milk, organic egg rolls, and De Sen Farm’s organic dried daylilies. Together, these offerings reflect the diverse agricultural landscape of the Hualien Rift Valley and demonstrate the industry’s achievements in transitioning from primary production to value-added processing.
Mayor Hsu stated that consistent participation in international food and organic exhibitions not only elevates the global visibility of Hualien’s produce but also fosters long-term relationships with overseas distributors. Moving forward, the county government will continue to assist agri-enterprises in strengthening their brand marketing and international channel layouts. By highlighting the core values of “purity, health, and sustainability,” the county aims to introduce more international consumers to Hualien’s premium products and steadily expand its reach across the global market.
