Designed to transform Hualien into a premier international destination for location-independent professionals, the initiative offers a unique opportunity to work and live between the mountains and the sea. Applications are open from now until April 7, 2026. A total of six participants will be selected to join the community. Interested applicants can apply online at [https://www.hualien.cloud/].
The program is open to international professionals with the ability to work remotely, offering residency stays ranging from one to three months. To support residents, the program provides private studios, shared workspaces, a communal kitchen, and high-speed internet. Monthly community gatherings are also organized to facilitate cross-cultural exchange and strengthen connections between international talent and the local community. Through these amenities and the surrounding environment, the initiative aims to help residents maintain work efficiency and quality of life while increasing Hualien’s visibility in the global digital nomad market.
The recruitment period remains open from now until April 7, 2026, for a residency term spanning from April 15 to June 30, 2026. Applicants may choose a stay of at least one month and up to three months, provided they hold a valid legal status to stay in Taiwan; notably, those holding a Digital Nomad Visa will receive priority consideration. Prospective residents are required to complete an online application and submit a formal residency proposal via the official website (https://www.hualien.cloud/), with the final list of selected participants to be announced on April 10.
Hualien County Mayor Hsu Chen-Wei has extended a warm invitation to international talent, emphasizing that the restorative energy of the region's natural landscapes can help professionals heal the body and mind while sparking fresh creative inspiration.
