Yunus Baby Boss Event Unwraps Financial Fun for Kids this Christmas!
(中央社訊息服務20231215 15:05:43)Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan has established the Yunus Story House in Taichung, dedicated to local well-being and promoting the spirit of social welfare inspired by Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2006. In line with its commitment to rooted education, on the eve of Christmas, December 23, 2023, the foundation will organize the " Yunus Baby Boss " family event at the Yunus Story House in Taichung. Children will have the opportunity to wear aprons and transform into young entrepreneurs, integrating financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and sustainability concepts. The aim is to provide a hands-on educational experience for children to deeply understand these principles.
The president of the foundation, Philippa Tsai stated that the “Yunus Baby Boss” experience activity not only introduces children to Professor Yunus's spirit of universal love but also teaches financial concepts and the preparations and processes involved in entrepreneurship so that they can spark their imagination regarding future careers. The CEO of the foundation, Juno Wang added that Professor Yunus, through the establishment of Grameen Bank, has assisted many people worldwide in overcoming poverty. “Yunus Baby Boss” experience is designed to allow parents and children to learn together, understanding the limitless possibilities of changing the world through action.
For “Yunus Baby Boss” event, the foundation has invited Mr. Zeng Ming-teng, a recipient of the SUPER Teacher Award, to creatively teach children about the preparation, costs, and pricing of products in entrepreneurship. He will guide the children in setting up booths, welcoming customers, and learning about Professor Yunus's establishment of Grameen Bank to assist the underprivileged. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to create mosaic lamps using recycled glass jars. The event will provide items such as umbrellas, umbrella stands, and aprons. Besides, parents are invited to bring their children in grades one to six to participate in the learning experience.
