Yunus Story House Partners with Four Communities in Taoyuan to Promote Financial QuotientQuotient and Sustainability for Children
(中央社訊息服務20250901 15:30:33)The Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan, authorized by 2006 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, is dedicated to advancing the 3ZERO vision—zero carbon emissions, zero poverty, and zero unemployment. The foundation established the Yunus Story House in Taichung, which has long promoted the “Yunus Quotientbaby boss,” equipping children with financial quotientquotient and sustainability awareness from an early age.
Since last year, the program has extended from Taichung to Taoyuan through collaboration with b瑞慶 Community. This summer (2025), to expand its impact and reach more children, the foundation partnered with four Taoyuan community development associations—瑞慶 ,三民, 西埔, and 北埔—to host three sessions of the “Yunus baby boss Financial Quotient Program – Taoyuan Tour.” Through interactive teaching, the program plants the seeds of financial quotient and sustainable thinking in local elementary school students, putting the 3ZERO vision into practice.
Designed in collaboration with financial quotient experts of 好好教, the program integrates Professor Yunus’ educational philosophy for young entrepreneurs. Children learn about money management and values through games and discussions, while hands-on sustainable woodworking workshops allow them to experience resource recycling and eco-friendly practices. The sessions were filled with creativity and laughter, inspiring entrepreneurial spirit and encouraging responsible consumer behavior.
“Seeing the spark in the children’s eyes proves that financial quotient and sustainability education have truly become part of their lives,” said 瑞慶 Community Leader 黃欣韻. Philippa Tsai, President of the Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan, noted, “This program is more than a class—it is an intergenerational co-creation initiative. The change we see in children today is the hope for tomorrow.” CEO Juno Wang added, “We believe education is the starting point of social innovation. Helping children develop financial awareness and a sense of sustainability from an early age is the first step toward changing the world.”
The initiative not only strengthens the foundation’s partnerships with local communities but also demonstrates how Social Businesses can respond to local needs through innovative approaches. The foundation continues to champion social innovation and impact investing, using education as a catalyst to deepen understanding of the 3ZERO vision among both children and adults.
President Philippa Tsai also called on the public to join the “ 萬點繁星” by making monthly recurring donations to support the foundation’s sustainable growth. “Together, we can create greater social impact and help more children—especially in underserved communities—build strong foundations in financial quotient and sustainability.”
