Grand Master Hsin Tao, who has dedicated his life to "loving the Earth and loving peace," shared his vision that ecological harmony and religious peace are intrinsically intertwined. He stressed that only through spiritual awakening can humanity truly recognize the interdependence between nature and humankind, thereby fostering respect and tolerance for all life.
He also highlighted the "University for Life and Peace" currently being planned in Myanmar, an initiative aimed at cultivating young peacemakers who translate the spirit of peace education from concept into action.
A Call for Unity and Reconciliation
On the following day in St. Peter's Square, Pope Leo XIV emphasized the world's urgent need for believers of all religions to coexist in unity and cooperation. The Pope delivered a powerful message of hope, stating: "May we never give up hope: a new world without division is possible," and concluded with a special greeting in Chinese.
Following the public audience, Venerable Xian Yue presented the Pope with a gift from the MWR, a piece incorporating imagery from ten world religions. The collective calls for peace made by religious leaders worldwide, along with Grand Master Hsin Tao's advocacy for spiritual awakening and Pope Leo XIV's emphasis on humility and prayer, all resonated deeply. This shared determination demonstrated the willingness of global religions to heal the world through their inner strength.
