The theme for BAW 2025 is "Crop Diversity", focusing on the vast variety of food and useful plants that have been intimately associated with human civilization for millennia. The exhibition will feature heritage plant cultivars, crop wild relatives, and ancient crops, stressing the necessity of preserving genetic diversity amid challenges such as climate change and habitat loss.
More than 30 countries are participating in BAW 2025, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, India, Japan, Mexico, the United States, Taiwan, and so on. Each country will host simultaneous exhibitions, showcasing artworks that celebrate their unique botanical heritage.
Taiwan is actively participating in BAW 2025 with a focus on "Hakka Heritage Crops," emphasizing the heritage crops closely related to the Hakka ethnic culture and life in Taiwan.
